New website

Check out the new website I am working on at potterpress.virb.com. We will still keep the blog, and hopefully post on it more often, but want a portfolio that is easier to manage online. Hopefully I can make it look real snazzy soon.

Hard Drive Crash

I haven't posted on here for a very long time and the reason for that is that our external hard drive died.  I kept thinking I would wait until it was alive again in order to post chronologically cause I lost all the photos from our work that was in our Copper Palate Press show for March, but alas, it still isn't working.  If I ever get those photos back I will have to post them later.  Tons of cool things have happened since our last post. So I am going to post up a few of the photos that I do have of what has happened.

Feb 2010 Stroll

Blonde Grizzly did a group show honoring the Utah Jazz. Erin's piece paid homage to Andrei Gennadyevich Kirilenko's adventurous hairstylings and their similarities to particular David Bowie cuts throughout time.

Nick pitted two forward greats against one another in "Mark Eaton and Big T Get In A Tussle"

Kayo Gallery also had a group show that we collabed for.

February Group Shows

For February Gallery Stroll in SLC we will have pieces in two locales.

Nick and I have each done a piece for the Utah Jazz show at Blonde Grizzly.
We also have a collaboration at the Kayo's Round 7 group show.

Come check them out and find us somewhere along the path between those galleries. I will post up pics after Friday.

Holidays

We've been spending our art time shipping out print orders and doing commission work over the Holidays. I thought I would post up a few of the things we've worked on.

A wedding "save the date"

A Portrait of a snapping turtle

My friend Emme Packer is a singer-songwriter and had us design a shirt for her

Later I helped her boyfriend propose to her by pretending to paint a live portrait of them. When they got up to look at what I had so far he got down on one knee.

And last, a pleasant little Christmas mailer in watercolor
